Raising animals for food is brutiful. We eat way less meat because of that. Today is a hard day. Reverence is the word of the day

Farm tour today. 14yo boy thought scything was hard but cool 12yo like bottle feeding Doby The both dug potatoes and harvested kale for the first time ever and planted seeds.

The formerly glacial till, compacted garden,1st tilled by a pig, then tilled.This is hügel beds and lasagna beds with sheep bedding. Potatoes, squash, dent corn. Our old friend @arcticvelocipedist.bsky.social would be delighted by the hügel beds
