Kotaku parading that garbage "recompilation" Generation 1 Pokémon project is genuinely upsetting. I was hoping the communities would reject vibe coded garbage, but these people are now intentionally hiding the usage and even lying that it's hand-written to peddle their slop onto others.

i don't know how long ive been doing it, but someone recently pointed out that ive apparently started using "umm" as my go-to filler word...even when in my native language! well, now i feel pretty self-conscious about it!

did they even have to add that bright red text that says "Action!"??? i thought my google account was fucked and i had to take action or something

whenever you see an ai generated port, recomp, mod loader, or a reverse engineering project, know that it's built on top of work done by those of us who were here before, doing this stuff not for the glory, but for the love of it

cool to see that the banana mania mod loader i spent countless hours doing research and reverse-engineering work on is included here! alongside sm64plus, of course finally, talentless hacks can now use my work to pretend they built something, and i get nothing! the democratization of code is here!!

it's mostly with the cutscenes and the general pacing, it just feels a little off all around. i also wish the game was a bigger graphical jump too, but that's getting especially nitpicky lol, the game's good either way

splatoon raiders first impressions: very fun very good game. it feels like a mixture of side order, salmon run, and classic splatoon single player, and it works ...though it's also the first time in a while i felt like a non-pokemon nintendo game is held back by not having enough time/budget

that's not a shader, it's the analog signal emulated properly LOL most CRT shaders do approximate the composite look for emulators that don't bother emulating it, but technically it's has more to do with the NES itself than CRTs tldr: im doing an "umm acktually"
