Its being framed as an origin story...for Ebenezer. Scrooge. The regular story goes over how he became a jerkhole with the Ghost of Christmas Past, its ALREADY partly an origin story.

I recently saw the trailer, which included this tagline and I'm like... I'm pretty sure we know this story. Like, I'm pretty sure this is literally the most adapted story in the history of the fucking planet! There's practically an adaptation for every day of the year (maybe even more than that!).

at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, was getting a fidget toy w/the rest of the family, when some guy dressed up like Monkey D. Luffy (red waistcoat with no undershirt, blue jeanshorts and straw hat) wanders in and starts browsing the various toys next to us. By the time I point him out, he's gone.
