I’m still genuinely proud of my Bilbo portrait, and I think it’s definitely one of my favorite illustrations of the year. But it is funny to think that the cool-looking fella in the portrait is the same guy as this goofy goober right here:

#TolkienTrewsday Week 179: Pity ‘Pity? It was Pity that stayed his hand. Pity, and Mercy: not to strike without need…’ Bilbo no longer saw Gollum as a monster, but rather a sad little creature who was all alone. And so, feeling pity for him, Bilbo has mercy on Gollum and spares his life.

Woww. Pretty pleased with the Bandori characters I got; not exactly the ones I wanted, but I love them all, so I’m not complaining. I am impressed that I got the Umamusume characters I wanted; Suzuka and Golshi my beloved’s.

Bought these yesterday as a treat/reward for myself for finishing my 200+ hour internship. Excited to find out which characters I get!

I’m a really big fan of the recently revealed Belladonna Took card. Belladonna herself looks gorgeous, but oh mah gah it’s child Bilbo! I’d love to get the first variant just for the adorable mother-and-son bonding artwork.

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just really happy that the news outlet I’m interning for reported on the TROP Celeborn news.

#TolkienTrewsday Week 178: The tower and the ruin “But from the top of that tower the man had been able to look out upon the sea.” A bit of a simplistic drawing to represent Tolkien’s allegory of the tower and the ruin brought up in The Monsters and the Critics.

I swear man, the upcoming MtG x The Hobbit set looks so damn good. I gotta get myself some of those cards, if only for the gorgeous art.

Despite all of its flaws, I’ll never hate WotR because it made my personal visualization of Middle Earth as a Japanese anime a reality.

#TolkienTrewsday Week 176: Horses With this week’s theme being centered on horses, I knew I had to redesign my Umamusume design for Shadowfax! I finally finished it, and I’m really proud of how she turned out!

Such beautiful horses! (And elves too, I guess.)

Hell yeah, I *LOVE* the MtG LotR set and their depictions of the characters. I always love it when people depict Middle Earth through the lens and sensibilities of other cultures, not just the traditional Western viewpoint.

I love how SpongeBob’s birthday this year falls on a Tolkien Trewsday; it’s kinda perfect then that I drew him dressed like Rankin Bass Bilbo here. Happy #SpongeBobDay on this #TolkienTrewsday!
