Uh huh. Seeing people say it wasn't bad. Or no one even died. or it was just like a cold. Or it was just a free vacation. And how come the economy is so bad anyway? And why are rents so high?

In the past, when someone who regularly engaged with my comic would stop, I'd just assume they lost interest. That does happen a lot. But covid really changed that. Seeing everyone excited to be off work and watch Tiger King and knowing that people I talked to every day are dead from this.

Someone would disappear from my discord or stopped commenting on the comic, and I'd go looking. Sometimes they were in the hospital. Sometimes they had passed away. Sometimes they had lost their home and phone. Sometimes no one knew what happened to them. Friends and family were looking for them.

Jesus. I'm so sorry. I only had one person directly in my life pass away from it. But I know at least 8 of my Modest Medusa readers died from covid (likely many more). It was terrifying. Someone would comment they weren't feeling well, and then... that would be it. Later I'd learn they died.

Shit, I didnt reply to the full post. Anyway, the point is a lot of people are now saying that the Pandemic wasn't so bad, or the US did TOO MUCH, or Trump and his administration really weren't responsible and bare no blame. They are wrong. They're trying to rewrite history. My friends died!
