specific styles that are most immediately applicable to our artpack release format are text art and textmode graphics. Specifically, making this announcement is our attempt to lure out emerging practitioners working in this space...

We try to share samples of it on a daily basis, so in a nutshell -- "more of that kind of stuff". But just because we're not sharing something doesn't mean that we wouldn't if someone sent it in -- our back catalogues are also full of photography, pixelart, sketches and a lot of strange stuff.

Long story short, we are genuinely interested in everything, but most of what we deal with is visual art in vintage (esp. textmode) computer graphics formats

Missed you on previous sweeps of the #ANSIart hashtag, but Vindication, you had a tremendous portfolio for the artscene early days (91-93), nailing the full sweep of standard influences from Image Comics to toons, video games and anime. A pleasure getting reacquainted with your work!

I remembered you had mentioned it was someone in a show I hadn't seen, but I didn't recall where you said it and couldn't figure it out! I was seriously googling "astronaut with blue helmet glass" and it wasn't coming up 8)

We dropped out for sixteen years of regrets, thinking it was gone forever, and when we discovered it was having a resurgence we swore not to make that mistake again!

It was drawn for the new science fiction-themed MIST0526 artpack collection(, though while apparently still in a MIST0426 frame of mind!)

Anyway, this is his take on #BruceJensen's iconic cover art to the 1993 paperback edition of #NealStephenson's #cyberpunk novel #SnowCrash, in the background, #TheGrid, in the foreground, the world's tiniest #HiroProtagonist.

... which placed 6th (top third!) in the text art compo in this year's Revision demoparty. This piece was also included in the new science fiction-themed MIST0526 artpack collection.
