Sometimes, a public figure dies and I am like "I've never heard of this person." Then I see literally everyone be like: "Huge loss for humanity" and "music will never be the same" and I wonder if I have been in a coma for 32 years or have had a stroke or something to have missed them my entire life.

I think a lot of the research institutes, scholastic or otherwise, are really hurting from the DOGE grant slashes. Most places that have jobs open to do are at barely minimum wage when all is said and done. Similar jobs two years ago paid double or more. Such a shame for these folks.
