As someone who once volunteered to keep meeting minutes I led, as well as meetings for which I keep time: the minutes are where a group articulates what it understands about itself. But of course: what's unsaid (sometimes unwritten) and meant for interpretation is where the actual meaning lies.

I like this notetaking example. it is a good case of how gender works. Notetaking has never been about producing a transcript. It is a bureaucratic skill in the 20th c. organixarion because it is SENSEMAKING. Those women socialized to take notes? They have been doing men’s metacognition for them

This looks so cool and makes me wish that I lived in NYC, even though I would never be home because the delight of being there would be more sensory overload than I could handle on a daily basis: idlehands.info/cycle-one-gr...

I miss pictures that don't constantly move. Like, plain regular regular images that have no filters or other seasoning. Pivot to still photographs, pleeeeeaaaaasssse?

Completely criminal for an employer to advertise the same salary ($42k) for a job in 2012 and 2026, I don't care how strapped nonprofits are. It's not enough to realistically live on in a major city.

Nope. Conference registration shouldn't equal the cost of a round-trip flight. Not in this economy. Not in this political climate.

Why was it acceptable for university students, faculty, and staff in the U.S. to be the collateral for abject failures in both foreign policy and human rights? Why trample, tear down, and rip apart any semblance of intellectual freedom?
