I look forward to our discussion,” when I need the email to say, “Shit, I’m sorry I just saw this! I need to die! I get it if you want me dead. I hope there’s no funeral for me”

kind of a half-baked thought here but it's a shame criticism as a paid professional discipline has been sidelined by social media because it could point the way forward out of the internet madness-induced problem of writing that's crouched in what the author anticipates a comments section will say

“Sooooo… how was the date?” “Spicy. Really spicy.” “Nice! Romantic and sexy?” “No. Not at all.”

As a hapless victim of this criminal I can confidently say that his show is not to be missed. And giveaways! A reason to go North, friends.
