As an open protocol, Bluesky is one of the few sources of fresh human-generated content that anybody can gobble up. So all this is probably going in the models. It's economic tipping-points like this I get the most excited about. When it's cheaper to do the smartest, lowest-impact thing, THAT's when stuff goes bananas: open.substack.com/pub/sammatey... (And it's when people who rely on existing systems to rake in massive profits start yelling the loudest).
I'm glad it made you feel that way! I see science as a tool for creating hope as much as it's been for inducing anxiety - much more so, in fact. The scientists & their stories I pay attention to, and the ones I try to amplify on here and in my newsletter, are very much focused on greater-good stuff.
