I was never into Pokémon and I don't think I can afford to start now!

I had a 3DS years ago so I've been revisiting some of the games I had back then, like A Link Between Worlds, and I've got Ocarina of Time lined up too. I might try and find some games I missed first time around but they're surprisingly expensive now.

No mention of Goro, of course.

Yeah, it's a perfect Switch Lite era game, with the assumption that players each had their own affordable consoles. Less fun in the Switch 2 era.

It is a mad choice and so restrictive but I think I found out why. The save file for even that early island was over 200mb. Would get out of hand if everyone had their own island.

For New Horizons it's a single island per *system* with one primary user who gets to complete quests. Any other users on that system become residents on that one island. Luckily we've only had it for a week or two so we're not losing that much playtime, but there was drama.

Yes, that's what I've heard from behind the scenes. They were able to figure some out, but not all. So it's even more fascinating that the institutional knowledge has been lost with time. (Currently going through that a lot in the day job.)

No, the press release says that the international sales agent, Goodfellas, still manages streaming deals. This new UK deal is for cinemas, home video, digital sales, TV.

Yet AI doesn't read like a human being, right? Surely it's making associations in its data set. Can understand that these names may appear together in many contexts, just baffled that the translation algorithm would be so consistently wrong. (Google Translate doesn't have this issue.)

They announced earlier in the year that they had Kore-eda's LOOK BACK for UK/IE as well as North America, but this is the first dated release. The press release says that they're "partnering" with Anime Ltd and I suppose we'll see how that manifests.
