RIP Glen Hansard. my dad brought home a vhs of THE COMMITMENTS when i was a kid, we must have watched it a zillion times. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzyS...
The 'weekly challenge' on eraball.com is a salary cap draft of NBA players from 2000-2020, exempting everyone who's won a ring, playing against teams from the 2010s. Effectively this makes the game "build a team around Luka, Harden, Paul or Embiid to beat the Warriors or Cavs." Woof.

Book publishers: Give me the 1200 page Anthology of Weird American Soccer History by Pablo Maurer
Pablo MaurerLook, it's been a while since I wrote thousands of words on some dumb American soccer thing. So I decided to research & write the definitive story of Striker, the most beloved mascot in World Cup history. Not that anybody asked for it. Pre-wc94 I somehow became a USMNT sicko. I remember saving packages of Kahn's hot dogs to go to a 1-day soccer camp with Tony Meola & as he signed this hat he said he'd be playing in a league in the US. Became a fan of the league that day. First game @ rfk in 97, streamed on YAHOO in college (lol)
Tutul RahmanI love this. Let's start a thread of your MLS fanhood origin story. 👇🏾 Mine: Me & college buddies went to see Freddy Adu in 2004, when DC came to play the Metrostars in Giants stadium. Adu scored his first goal at 14 & Fabian Taylor scored to win it for the Metro. We snuck in the ESC. Hooked since
