why do I often put scare quotes around "vulnerable" and "at risk"? because people are *made* vulnerable, and people are *put at-risk"—these are not stable categories. we all live in a state of risk, some more than others, and risk is not distributed evenly. we can all be made vulnerable.

I appreciate hearing what underlying conditions might make this sickness worse. I would love good, trustworthy public health information from somewhere. But after six years of covid messaging that has mislead people about risks, mistakenly confined risks to aberrant "less-than" bodies...
