When we Fight!

Hannah Sabio-Howell

Our opponent & the establishment that backs him spent $500k to try to drown us out. So what do we do from now to November 3rd? Get louder. Here’s to big fights worth having. Only when we push does anything move.

Senator Hasegawa had been an incredible leader on public banking and we should finally do it so we can build the infrastructure we need. A public bank at the very least frees us to do the work needed without having to pay the vig to the capital class.

In a fascinating historical turn, Hasegawa walks through the founding of the Bank of North Dakota over a century ago, revealing how the agrarian movement behind the bank actually drew inspiration from progressive public ownership projects underway in Seattle at the time.

This is the way.

As a leader in the rank-and-file movement to democratize the union and eradicate systemic corruption, Hasegawa was elected to union leadership in the Teamsters’ first-ever democratic vote, only to subsequently witness a disappointing return to corruption enabled by the Clinton administration.

Stop the delays to building. We can have safe thoughtful approval process that doesn't give rich neighborhoods veto rights over that process.

Seattle Times runs a THIRD editorial, this one an op/ed, opposing a change that would put the city in line with neighboring jurisdictions by reducing opportunities for legal complaints to prevent new housing from three to two. I believe they've only run one, brief actual story about this.

Seattle was electric during the World Cup. To support 750,000 visitors, the city pedestrianized streets, activated public spaces, and removed parking. Rather than revert these changes, city leaders should identify what worked and make those changes permanent. seattletransitblog.com/2026/07/09/s...

Incredible important project for state independence from financial predators.

Founded in 2011 by author Ellen Brown and a core collective of advocates, PBI aims to break the monopoly of Wall Street’s private banking system by establishing a nationwide network of publicly owned, democratically accountable banks. moneyontheleft.org/2026/06/01/t...

Completely agree. The leadership has worked harder to stop the progressive wing of the party then Trump, MAGA, or Israel.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said it is time for the Democrats to ignore party leaders, embrace a “new vision,” and call for the abolishment of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

Important governance at work at Union Station. Follow Ryan Packer who covers transit across the region better then anybody else in the region.

Ryan Packer

Greetings from Union Station. We're a few minutes away from the most impactful Sound Transit board meeting of this decade. The board is set to keep some ST3 projects fully on track, delay others, and throw a handful of major transit projects into limbo. Stay tuned for updates.
