There’s a specific type of military nerd that’s forever baffling to me, because they’re always like “the confederate generals were genius! The Nazis had cutting edge technology! The Afrikaner’s counter insurgency tactics are the model for today’s tactics!” And it’s like… Okay… But they all lost?

Again, forever obsessed with the fact that we’re losing this war because the American right is legit like “wait, they can retaliate…? THEY’RE ALLOWED TO DO THAT?!”
