Oh, another one! I was hired to photograph a Toys for Tots event where Melissa Joan Hart was a guest. She showed up early, saw donations were a bit meager, and walked down the street to a toy store and brought back a bunch of toys to donate. Then she posed with a group of Marines. Good for her!

In one of my many past jobs I covered sewer infrastructure, and I can confidently say that when raw sewage is near, YOU'LL KNOW.

I love stories about high-profile creative people who are also kind (this one is about Henry Winkler). If you have any, please share! I once waited in line next to Matthew Lillard at a convention where someone was playing nerdy folk songs, and he complemented their music very warmly. A nice guy!

New Avatar movie: Surprisingly good! Fits very nicely into the original series! Has something smart to say about the tension between protecting the past and building the future! And I'm amazed by how good it looks in Cinemascope, and also how much the original could pack into 4x3!
