I think "Move towards the left" and "move towards the right" instead of "left / center" as the two options. Maybe go with all 3 formulations. Then add a 'would change the party for the worse' option instead of just 'change for better' vs 'no change' That's my immediate thinking data wise though.

From the outside it's tough to say for sure; I think we'd benefit from all the liberal justices calling this as it is (like KBJ has done), but perhaps they think that pretending everything is normal is how they can convince 2 of the conservatives to occasionally vote with them.
