Was looking at the "onboard camera" video from TDF stage 21. I love that some riders stopped to watch the final sprint on the giant TV screen

I've taken that ferry on a few bike rides! Ile Bizard is nice, if a little small. Good thing about Montréal is most interesting things are usually accessible by metro / REM / bike share. Drive as little as you can! I created my own version of a tourist map here. www.google.com/maps/d/edit?...

The one thing I see is maybe in France French it's more common than in Québec French. I think the last time I heard it here was in science classes.

Hopefully not. The tunnel is ready, and the station itself is part of the major works you'll see 5 seconds after going out the airport door. The rest of the REM network is already operational (and I love it)

Next year we'll finally have the REM and I'll never ever drive to this airport again There is also a commuter train station... 2km away, walking through the middle of construction sites and oh, yes, trains headed to downtown run pretty much only during the morning rush hour. So efficient!

(the airport itself is ok, but getting in/out of there is a terrible experience as they are pretty much rebuilding all accesses and the REM station will only open next year)

For anyone who is coming to Montréal for the Worlds (in French but worth translating): how to get to/from the airport. If you're with Air Canada you're in luck, otherwise, I'd recommend shuttle 815 to the Des Sources REM station. www.lapresse.ca/actualites/g...

Fun fact: when watching on the France TV feed, there is one recurring advert from a very well-known company where the background music is from... a Québec band! youtu.be/KHxSV3SWn18?... (accent of the singer was a big clue for me... sounded more Québec than France)

Not a surprise to anyone who follows @cyclingalps.bsky.social, but he lives in a beautiful (and steep!) area. Sadly the TDF coverage lacks cow pictures.
