This DeviantArt is out of control! Some of my friends who got hacked are trying to send me notes with those fake scam messages with AI-generated stuff! So, I can't take risks to ruin, or steal my DA accounts! Ends up like Discord did happen to me 2 years ago... If you have DA, stay cautious!

New DeviantArt scam dropped and it's just people dropping wordy AI comments on fics to prompt engagement. Most of my engagement is on DA so I've been trying to put it off, but I'm getting to the point where I don't think I can continue to upload there. The whole site is just an AI slop mill atp
Genuinely sad to see what Deviantart has become! It actually was a relatively decent art site at one point, but -- like EVERY site -- management decided it was more lucrative to just let AI sloppers and scam artists run rampant. It's extremely dispiriting!

Probably for the best. Deviantart is a shell of itself. Betrayed multiple artists and used art to train AI, and there are scam bots on the website all over and idiots or creeps.
Unfortunately, these scam accounts are everywhere, and especially in the age of the grifter, we have to be super dilligent since they have been around long since twitter (they are EVERYWHERE on DeviantArt!).
