This heat is making me miss when this town was covered in ice for almost a month. And I knew I'd be thinking that, and I'm still thinking it.

The verses they keep quoting, believing it has the exceptional power to gain converts, is clearly a binary where you either perish or have everlasting life. Hell doesn't fit.

Truly amazing how many Christians in the US today repeat "the wages of sin is death" and "whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" very clearly meaning the opposite of heaven is cessation of existence but they still can't let go of Hell as a concept on top of it somehow

Just to be clear, I myself do agree at the outset that the post is problematic. Rape is just a very strong image to invoke that probably wouldn't have been invoked if people weren't already fed up with Will's self-centeredness that he seems comically incapable of reflecting upon, poking bears.

Well, it's not even always for a reason, block bycatch is common, but all the same, you'd indeed have to be selfish not to imagine that before getting to the point where you post such a proposal.

This guy's also block evading and admitting to it. He likes to think of himself as important but he doesn't want to deal with the inevitability of a lot of strangers deciding they don't like him, and he can't even pretend to frame it as something else. He's got a brick for a brain.

I just think it's interesting how each of the two steps of the way so far is an emotionally satisfying escalation that wasn't really necessary
