Those lovingly-painted hydrangeas 💜

I haven't posted this one much since I painted it. I wanted to capture the feeling of the summer that this was painted in - here it was cool and rainy and I remember the hydrangeas were so full and alive. I wanted to try to recreate it so I could hold it forever.

Another old photo I've dug up: dye tests on silk. The thread dyed with pomegranate flower is shown next to a swatch of ink made with the same, illustrating the fact dyeing with a colourant and applying it to the surface usually result in very different hues. #naturaldyes
