I was really into EXIT 8 for a while, great brightly lit scares and exhausting urban despair. But then the last 30 minutes turned incredibly lugubrious, becoming the 2020s Japanese horror version of one of those 90s Hollywood comedies about a dad with a cellphone who misses his kid’s recital.

It is pretty funny that the most riveting sequence in all of 2020s MCU is of a self-destructive actor ruining an under-five gig with his compulsive fussiness.

VAGUE "WONDER MAN" FINALE SPOILERS Yes it technically ended on a cliffhanger, but that cliffhanger is also readable as the conclusion of Simon and Trevor's friendship arc. What Simon does at the end matters more than the consequences.

Among many other things this is a good illustration of the necessity of untethering ideology and "fight" in intra-Democratic battles. The party is very united on fight, very divided on ideology. You unite on fight, let different constituencies/states find their center of gravity on ideology.
