The NT & QLD are steady in strong contrast to all other states. QLD does a lot of testing so this is strange.

Expanded version of the last graph, both in the number of years & in its horizontal stretching. #AusFlu2026 started to rise in June, similar to pre-pandemic patterns of a #flu rise that peaks around August. But let's wait and see about peaks.

Of those around, most flu viruses are A(H3N2), with some B and A(H1N1) (hospital data). A reminder that last year finished with A(H3N2) subclade K wrapping up 2025 and driving a big & unusual summer surge into this year. Heaps of immunity.
