Rattikarl kept me company in his hammock today while I tried to find my way through some quests in Divinity: Original Sin 2 with my oldest brother. It's a mix of really nice and weird that we startet to reconnect through our gaming sessions.

Found one of my favourite games for this year: In Stars and Time by @insertdisc5.com It’s been out for a few years, but I only just discovered it. Haven't finished it yet, but already love the chaotic, queer, struggling vibe of failing and resisting

Since I finally decided to take actual steps towards my top surgery, it's like I'm hyper-aware of my chest. As if everything were suddenly heavier, bigger, more unpleasant. I’ll be truly glad when it's done & I can at least get back to a state of indifference.

The heat from the weekend and the last few days triggered a fibromyalgia flare-up, bringing with it a whole bunch of "fun" symptoms. So, I’ll be spending the next few days in rest mode 🐌

Consultation was yesterday & went well. The staff was nice, including the surgeon. He was very fast at the beginning but slowed down when he recognized that I was nervous, we even joked a little at the end. No weird comments about my weight or my choices regarding the details of the surgery.

Leute in Berlin: Mein Kollektiv sucht nach 1-2 Personen, die sich unsere 3 Schreibtische teilen wollen. Wir sitzen in einem selbstverwalteten Büro- und Werkstatt-Hausprojekt in Berlin Kreuzberg. Wir machen politische Bildungsarbeit und würden uns über Kolleg*innen freuen, ist aber kein Muss.

I often tell myself that my experiences with the healthcare system probably aren't actually that bad. Yet there I was, sitting in front of a new doctor, sweating, with a knot in my stomach. Convinced that things are bound to get terrible. Just to find myself overwhelmed that it actually goes well.

Alongside the anticipation, however, I am also concerned about what to expect regarding my fibromyalgia and fatigue with a top surgery. If anyone has any tips, experiences, or advice, I would be very grateful.

Correcting my last post, because my translation was confusing: I’m actually inching closer to getting my top surgery. I finally have a consultation with a surgeon coming up soon. I’m also slowly daring to feel something like anticipation 🐌

I truly love it when I unexpectedly meet someone else who shares a passion for ttrpgs, science fiction, and a hopeful-resilient future. I stepped in last-minute for a seminar today, and that was essentially a very lovely bonus.

It often feels a little embarrassing when, in the end, I’ve spent a total of only 15 minutes on all the tasks I’ve been putting off for weeks...

Just a side note: Being part of academia & reading up on a bunch of theories doesn't automatically make you a better leftist.
