I know I said I’d put the full version up today but then I remembered this is for Maraschino’s birthday so I’m actually gonna wait til mid August. 😚

I am working on art too btw, just at a pace that suits being on a rest break. Getting some loyalty reward stuff done and using it to experiment with lighting.

Took this the other day, it was hot out and when we pulled through there were like 8-10 of these guys sitting in the shade panting. Most of them ran off when I pulled the phone out. Scrunckly little dinosaurs. 🦖

Finally figuring out how to get this tinsel I got last year properly attached to clips so it stays put. The kit comes with tools to secure it using a bead but I’m too dumb to figure out how to do it on my own hair, so clips are better.

I forgot I had this saved in my camera role and oh boy is this a mood. 😅

Last call for August, and then I shall cease bugging you all about it til it’s time to line up September slots. 😅 It’s rough for artists right now, everyone is broke. I appreciate my commissioners and Patrons so much, you guys are helping me scrape by.

I have two paper wasp nests on my back porch, this one (which has grown a lot since this pic was taken) and a small one right next to the door. I have a peaceful arrangement with them; they don’t divebomb or try to sting me, I’ll bring them water and let them stay. So far they’ve behaved. 🐝

Oh no Jamie Campbell Bower is playing an elf in the upcoming season of Rings of Power, now I’ll have to thirst over him for yet another show. So terrible, much sad. 🥵

Since I didn’t post much art this week, here’s a peek at something I’ve been slowly pecking away at. I want to get more comfortable and skilled at really atmospheric backgrounds, so this is practice. I’m having to go very slowly over each area and think about light and how it affects color. 😮‍💨

It’s astounding the amount of stupid people out there trying to pass off obvious AI crap as their own work. Book cover art, flyers, etc. It’s almost as if art was something valuable and deserving of attention and decent pay. But us legit artists wouldn’t know anything about that. 😒🙄

Birthday gift art: Check! 🎁 When 95% of the art you make is paid work, one forgets how much fun it is to just surprise someone (especially a non-fur) with art made just for them. Did this all the time growing up of course, but once art became a job, there was rarely time anymore.
