Now every YEG community is going to think they deserve $80k personal parking spots on public land. Gonna be hard to say no!

Yegbike They have just re-paved 121 st from 105 to 106 Ave but not yet repainted. What are the odds we can get the SB bike lane next to the curb on the W with the white hemi-cylinders and flex posts like 114 Ave to delineate a parking lane next to that? Really reduce the potential for dooring.

Turns out my library has 44 rain themed songs. Maybe that would be a depressing amount?? Might try it today doing yard work under a tornado watch...

So I found one YEG alley drain today about 10” under water. Not blocked at surface, so likely lots of debris from the adjacent construction lot. 311 to let Epcor handle that one!

I rode through there yesterday and noted lots of drains plugged with elm debris (and other materials). They need cleaning, it’s not hard…

Well, my new outdoor sump dealt with that little YEG dump fine, not like the last one! But enough already - I have a lot of paving stones to lift, re-slope, and relay already to get the pooling away from the house. Could we have a bit of time to get that done, please?

So we aren’t supposed to prune elms between April and October due to risk of spreading Dutch Elm disease. I’m a little worried about the spread after this summer!

I gotta presume 90% of YEG houses will be reporting water issues on real estate sales in the next year. If they aren’t, somebody should be asking hard questions. We were lied to about our house 25 years ago.

Street flooding in your neighbourhood YEG? Do a civic service and take a rake on a walk or cycle around your 'hood. Epcor can't do it all and it will probably cost us all $500 gor every drain they clean. Vehicle stalled in a puddle* on 119 st last night. 3 near drains, all full of crap**.

Very glad to have a roof over my head, even though I was just pulling water out of a level entry way since the water outside was higher than the doorway. Be thankful for small mercies YEG!
