I think the last thing I remember posting about with friends then was us all being very annoyed that Eirika was given the 'bride' class for some reason in the Awakening DLC because it didn't fit our conceptions of the character at all and it was just a bizarre choice.

Everyone knows this game from that one video of the gameplay, but what people need to know, is the ridiculous level of internal and external customization there is to your truck, down to the light colors and flashing patterns for all the sub section of lights on your truck

I really like how it eschews having any hands at all in exchange for just fusing the GN sword and shield into the ends of the arms? Also the right arm being so much longer is fun I like when arms are asymmetrical on a mecha or creature or a creature mecha in this case lol

Addendum: you can even get into specific components that also have many production models. Like, a 125mm cannon might have several variants within its production line with different ammo, sensors, or down to like, types of autoloaders and materials....

It's just something I think about when it comes to 'superfluous' mecha design stuff because I think it's neat to me, just because as like, an element of worldbuilding it's more interesting to me for something to have lots of the variants lol. Also I just like More Robots because I am Simple.

It's also fun when you get weird specific uses. T-34-85 with construction crane, or the UST-26 which is a British Vickers E tank converted into a bridge layer.

Obviously it depends on vehicle, I think an APC functions quite well as a platform for lots of different things, while tanks might only have a dozen or two variants from their own country lol, but also then you consider that whether or not something is given a new model number can be inconsistent

And it even reads like minor mobile suit variations lmao. "This one is a command vehicle with telescopic antenna and radio equipment. This one has a better engine and elongated hull. This one is a recon vehicle with chemical alarms. This one has a different main gun"
