Yo. What happened to the translate option on Bluesky? It never stayed native, but now it's asking me to do it via on-device AI rather than a 3rd party site. I'm not enabling that shit. Also, the translation service I want to use should be an option in settings.

The thing about performing all of the instruments AND producing these songs is that it really draws attention to the weakest parts of my guitar playing 🥲

I finished @scalzi.com's Starter Villain last night, and absolutely loved it. The last 3rd or so had me actually chuckling, and that doesn't happen with me very often 😀

Okay, a couple of hours peace and I've finished the vocals for a (slightly melancholic) new track. I think my favourite part of this one is the Beach Boys-inspired backing vocals at the end. There's so many layers. I've recorded 6 BV tracks and I'm still not sure I'm done 😀

I had somehow missed the whole D'Addario drama over the last few days, but as a fan of theirs I'm disappointed. I really need NorthTone Strings to hurry up and launch their damn product!

Today I did my first volunteer session at a local food bank! I signed up as a driver, which means I did a lot of lifting and carrying up and down flights of stairs, and you'd better believe my shoulders and hips are hurting now. But I feel like I did a good thing and that makes me happy.

Some lyric ideas just came to me for this one, and it's kind of thirsty anger? Angry thirst? Horny rage? I'm not sure what you'd call it. It's weird and I like it.

My son loves to sing Everybody (Backstreet's Back), which is fine. I'm a BSB fan. But I have a problem. In the pre-chorus he sings "and I set you up" instead of "am I sexual" and my brain really wants to correct him, but I also don't think either of us is ready for the conversation that'd follow 😬

Mixed bag so far. It's working, and the one game I've installed (Risk of Rain 2) runs great. But it isn't detecting my mic or speakers by default so I have some poking around to do.

16 years ago (❗) we did our first photoshoot to go with our first music video. Look how young I am! That man has no wrinkles or grey hair! I was at a terrible point in my life and I'm glad it's far behind me, but I'd like to have his skin back! Although I prefer my shoulders and chest now 🤣
