What I really see when these types post this is: They know what we mean when we criticize them. But they don't have any actual counterarguments, and so they shift the conversation (as they always do) into the realm of: "WAH WAH WAH! This isn't being fair to me, you're racist against whites!"

This is also why they were all so fast to get the vaccine out to protect themselves/the rich, then IMMEDIATELY went full anti-vax for the rest of us. Case and point: DeSantis in Florida.

Then it spread to the rest of the country and it started killing off *their* people instead, and they freaked out hard, looking for a scapegoat, rather than...y'know...actually doing something about the disease killing people.

A conspiracy I genuinely believe is the GOP intentionally let COVID run rampant because they wanted to kill off minorities (or thought it would) and libs/Leftists while leaving 'them' alone. I remember how much they yucked it up as the 'Blue State Flu' in the early months of the pandemic.

Glad I wasn't the only one to think of this.

Gambling also tends to lead to higher domestic abuse and violence as well. What's extra frustrating about all this is when the inevitable backlash hits more, and the Right takes that and runs with it to turn it into some 'Leftist conspiracy' to hurt white Americans or some other BS.

It's simple: Force the GOP on the defensive. Force them to have to actually show that he's alive. The actual law itself means nothing in this fight. When the GOP is on the defensive, they almost always lose, there's no 'winning' for them in this instance. The rest is moot outside of that.

Remember, people's retirements went into this, mostly against their will before this all happened too. Or at least they were going to.

Then after the shock comes the conspiracy theories. The magic didn't work, so now clearly 'they' must've done something to undermine them and their politicians. And the excuses of "That isn't actual capitalism but 'crony capitalism'" or whatever else. There's always 'some reason' why it didn't work.

Something I've realized is that the Right doesn't really vote for policies, they vote for 'magic'. Namely the wish that all RW policies just *magically* 'work out' without any negative repercussions whatsoever. Then when they don't and that pesky reality sets in, they act 'shocked' every time.

This is what I like to call 'criticism without a critique'. It's a way to make it *look* like someone is criticizing an establishment figure, without actually truly *critiquing* anything wrong with them. Like Ken Martin's actual incompetence gets ignored in favor of 'he threw a phone'.

Their response would be a typical RW 'Uhm akschully' about how 'your house' is not the same as the 'public forum' of Twitter. But I do agree. We're not blocking them out because we can't handle their arguments, it's cuz their stupidity isn't worth the energy to bother with.

There's a correlation between the level of 'corrupt' a Dem is and how much they act/talk/behave like a Republican.

Also their whole 'echo chamber' line is the same playbook they used against Twitter pre-Musk in order to justify buying it out to bring 'free speech' to it. Conservatives were being unfairly "silenced" (aka banned for awful shit) on their and so Musk "had" to buy it to "save it".

They all think that they won't be burned by being associated with Trump. That "Oh it happened to 'those' people but I won't be negatively impacted." The only people that suffer no real consequences are the Trump family, everyone else gets fucked, period.

Even if all of this is 100% above-board (doubtful), they also just don't want the bad publicity. These people are also all egomaniacs who had being made to look like fools (and can't counteract it). Cuz if they look like idiots, then their gravy train ends as well.

Losing access. That's the only thing they'd actually object to. And we know this because that's exactly the thing they got pissy over at Biden for allegedly doing. But Trump loves being on TV, and despite his whining, he'd never truly kick them out, because it means he wouldn't get that limelight.

At least in theory it should work that way. Sadly it rarely does and we usually end up propping up dictators, not stopping their rise. But also if we don't do it, then that leaves room for someone *else* (ie, China) to do it instead. Then that country is thankful to *them* not *us*.
