Scrapping road and energy for defense is crazy considering the mad heatwave we just had where the literal roads were melting in some areas.

Who is asking for all these increases in defense spending?? Do the British ppl want more defense spending?

This week I’ve turned 34 (🥳) & begun a mini bathroom reno. A small wall had water damage & mould so we need to replace it. Taking tiles off is way harder than all the YouTube videos made it seem, & don’t even bother with those manual grout removers.

Unfortunately, neither Wes nor Andy are any better. Andy has already started with the backtracking and right wing talking points & Wes… is Wes.

This morning I watched a video about the debate between being Black and being human (which I think is really a challenge to Black pessimism). Also this morning, I see the Northern Irish facists are setting Black & migrant ppl's homes on fire. I don't agree but I get the Black pessimist perspective.

A lot of DEI work is theatre, & I say this as someone who ran a nonprofit to get Black women in tech (& was successful). The ease of which everything has rolled back is evidence. There’ll always be a tension btwn the E and capitalism bc capitalism requires workers to not have equity.

Doesn't really matter if I can create shortcuts with natural language if Shortcuts itself is incapable of what a user wants. Every morning at 8:50am I want my HomePod to read me all my events and reminders. Natural language doesn't make that easier bc you just can't do that on Shortcuts w/ Homepod.
