I don't know how into fanfic you are but there is an incredibly well-researched and detailed fanfic on ao3 that follows Anne's kids and their friends/partners through WWI and WWII that has some great bits of queer history, Canadian military history, & contemporary poetry/lit references

I worked in a Carnegie library for a hot minute and the outside of the building was SO gorgeous but they had gutted the inside and it was depressingly bland

some day I will actually tackle the back and side yards to make them at least less terrifyingly full of invasive weeds and deadfall, but I usually don't think about it until it's either too hot to work outside or it's winter.

our backyard has basically run wild and neglected for years, so we never use it, and the weird layout of our house means there are only two windows that actually look out onto the yard and both are almost always closed w/ curtains to block out morning sun.

I had this beauty in sage green. Bought it solely so I could RP on LJ when I was away from my computer. So many cringe moments brought into existence by this phone.

I took that class in the fall of 2001 and it was my first class after homeroom. Which meant that I was sitting in Comparative Religions class when the first plane hit on 9/11. Later that semester, we went to a mosque and talked with an imam about religious extremism and Islamophobia.

He's a full void--the white is actually kind of an optical illusion, his fur is much thinner there so it just looks like little white brows.
