Useful read. Has me wondering if anyone's done a similar examination on social media conversations v IRL ones. Sharing w colleagues; really great writing--didn't read like a report and had me wondering if we're mindful of the current culture around navigating others' grief.

I started reading the responses for context and details...then stuck around for the dark humor respondents engaged with regarding the CHIPS Act. The concern is there and is real. When will it be enough to address the obvious?

Colleague and I talk about writing--the process, the genre traveling--and then we go write. We talk about the teaching, the goals, the considerations. We learn from each other. Are we navigating dumpster fires? DUH are we also seeking joy + innovation as resistance, ABSOLUTELY.

health care is NOT okay. Not every privileged experience I had was because my mom worked in the hospital I tended to frequent. The 12-hour nurse shift makes NO SENSE; nurse-doctor-advocates need better streamlined communication--which could probably happen if health care had better funding.
