Nature is our life support centre, therefore look after it.🌏 I am who I am and who cares (Emma Thompson). Interesting information about Bluesky https://bsky.app/profile/jay.bsky.team/post/3lbd2eaura22r

In Europe because of the proximity to countries it's normal.

Me too! And the ones who feel threatened by Asian or African nurses who speak to their friends in another language rather than English. It’s music to my ears to hear other languages in the staff room .

How about revisiting why under all this chaos Democrats are a non event.

Kamala Harris: I know this is going to be controversial coming from me in particular, we need to revisit the electoral college. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.

When there is no more water

"Sokorey once relied on farming and livestock to provide for her family. But after years of drought, her animals died, her land dried up, and she was forced to leave her home for a displacement camp. Today, her family often survives on just one meal a day..." youtube.com/watch?v=bRle...

@albomp.bsky.social it's like noone else in Australia has any problems, not 8 year old Hazel who can't read, not 28 year Mike who is a tradie on the disability pension, drinking himself to death as he lost his license, nor anyone affected by domestic violence or gambling. You just keep on delaying.

Great solution, just turn off the taps.

fife4europe #FBPE #RejoinEU

Allowing UK water companies to implement Level 4 rota cuts and turn off tap water to homes in severe droughts is a catastrophic failure of regulation. Decades of unaddressed leakage leave domestic supply on the brink. Are we underestimating this structural failure? 💧 #ClimateCrisis

Not just private health insurance, private education (judging g from all their infrastructure projects), childcare, aged care, private services all subsidised by Government, until what point? When do you nationalalise? @jimchalmers.bsky.social

Is private health insurance the biggest rort in town? Did BUPA just abscond to London with $536m of our Medicare rebate? #auspol youtu.be/dGsxymDJ9gQ?...

Seriously @albomp.bsky.social its the stuff that you are silent about that makes me lose faith in major political parties.

Amy Remeikis

If Albanese won't do populist progressive policy, he leaves the floor open for Hanson to continue to capture voters with populist far right policy. He's gonna have to have this fight at some point and a cowardly caucus means he's not match fit www.thenewdaily.com.au/opinion/2026...

Is the old rule order a thing of the past? I no longer know how many politicians are for the people.

Max Kennerly

There are only three possible futures: a) everyone in the Trump admin goes to jail, rule of law partially restored; b) Dems retaliate in full, and maybe that's a deterrent; c) neither (a) nor (b), so lawless authoritarianism wins again, and when Republicans regain power they ramp it up even more.

There is something dangerously dumb with this. But what is worse is the politicians who allow it.

Why cause everything about everyone is recorded and kept, without anyone knowing? What is the point of politicians?

RUOK Speedwagon

I remember that ten years ago, there was quite a bit of fuss about the census keeping names and addresses for four years, to the extent that some people were deliberately getting paper forms and not filling in those details on it. Not a peep from anyone about that, this time.

Or why do banks and the insurance industry work so well?

Will Borger

Do you know why airlines are so safe? Because we regulate the ever-loving shit out of them. You don't have to like government regulations. They can be annoying. I promise they have saved your life. They happen when people get hurt or die. Every single one is written in blood.

010

Wow regulation that works. @albomp.bsky.social @jimchalmers.bsky.social

I worked at Disney a while ago. Do you know why theme parks are so safe? Because OOSHA reps can walk the track on any ride at any time and any safety violation they see is a $10,000 fine. Each. Theme parks are not safe because the company cares. They're safe because it's cheaper to comply.
