1996!

That was going to be part of the graphic, but there were too many awesome MS Paint clip arts!

This photo at OOB kills me. So young. What an obscene tragedy.

God rest his soul, God help his family, the immigrants of Maine and this country. There's a GoFund me (confirmed by @pressherald.com) for his wife and three year-old daughter. www.gofundme.com/f/justice-an...

Is the junior senator from Maine going to deliver a speech to cameras and an empty chamber where they're mad at Israel or super-mad at Israel? It's all I can think about right now!

010

However, I think we can all agree the most important issue in the Maine Senate race is Israel!

I know. Why is this the first time I've seen this? WANT.

010

Weirdly, it was more obvious away than here. Sometimes it's worth listening to the "outsiders."

020

This was the least surprising story ever, so I'm not sure I get to be right forever, but, hey, this Mainer saw it.

Correction accepted.

The @librarything.com office—the second apartment of my home—was built in 1866. The fire didn't get quite this far west, but it was built right after.

After Susan Kare's run was over, who was the Jony Ive of the UI? More generally, Apple's biggest impact on computers, design, cell phones and even watches wasn't the OBJECT, but the user interface and user experience. Why does this get such short shrift?

so he could pick the best design. But there are almost no scenes of him exercising the same tyrannical obsessiveness over user interfaces. UIs are hardly mentioned. I got the sense from Ken Kocienda's "Creative Selection" (2018) that he did that. Why does Isaacson have so little of it?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if, at some point, they got bigger—and more expensive. *Very Short Introductions: librarything.com/nseries/1391... *BFI Film Classics: librarything.com/nseries/1339... *33 1/3: librarything.com/nseries/9186...

I'm bringing two Short Introductions and a Loeb, also small. The former are, like BFI Film Classics (movies) and 33 1/3 series (albums), supposed to be small—I have a shelf of each. Loebs are small for no reason, as it were. They're small because books used to be small.

Absolutely. Blech.

010

Fair. I trust what my library wants to do with the data (i.e., nothing!). I trust them less when it comes to security, although, yeah, I don't trust either of them.
