As a prof this is how I dealt with the person in the group project who everyone else complained privately about because they did no work come presentation time: “Nice work, everyone! For the Q& A, why don’t you start us off [Obvious Fuckup Name]! Can you tell us a little about [creative choice]?”

Work is depressing. I'm printing Teacher Learning Plans for assessment for the new school year. I'm not really reading them, except that they are words in front of me so some bits get picked out. So many references to AI...

And civil engineer’s kid’s secret? Most stoplights are timed to make speed limit or slightly under the smart choice. Speeding is more likely to make you hit red lights because you creep up on the next cycle, while driving slowly more likely gets you back in sync. Only good advice XY ever gave me.

The first one I thought of is a wee bit obscure as it is: Some Irish kids wander around, listen to adults tell stories from way before they were born, and fix houses all by themselves.
