FWIW, the Abdul El-Sayed/Platner comparisons sorta fall flat. Platner had a checkered history coming back from Iraq. He had trouble graduating college and needed financial assistance from his family. Abdul El-Sayed is a devout Muslim, a Rhodes Scholar, UMich grad and a doctor. Big difference there.
