It’s an important start but just a beginning. Need to replace the republicans in congress as well and balance the Supreme Court.

I’m not sure that nothing will happen. I suspect that having the acting attorney general gets fine for essentially contempt will actually be a bridge too far for enough republican senators to stop his confirmation.

It is way more than half of the country.

I’m in a blue state and generally vote by mail, dropping my ballot off in the box in front of town hall. I think I will early vote instead because of all of trumps BS.

Trumps “America First” has become “America Alone” already. It isn’t stopping there as we move towards “America Pariah” being hated and no longer trustworthy. Such is the legacy of trump.

If I recall correctly she got a carve out for Alaska to help with healthcare so she could “save” her voters while letting the rest of us get screwed.

Democrats have little power to legislate but they do have some power to resist and they have done so repeatedly. Republican controlled Congress has been ineffective passing any bipartisan legislation. Everything else has been by Executive Orders that the dems can’t bring to the floor to contest.

This is so true. As an American I am so sorry and I mourn for the days before too many of us (NOT ME) elected this hateful and divisive trump to the presidency.

Don’t forget that gas prices around me were fluctuating between $2.80-$3.00 at the last year of Biden and before trumps disastrous war with Iran. Until it gets back down to $2.80 he is like the arsonist who returns to piss on the fire he started to claim he fixed it.

I understand that it will take a long time to rebuild trust with our Canadian neighbors and that is justified. I am not sure how Canada or any other country will be able to fully trust us even after this scourge passes. Do what you must to diversify to decrease any dependency on the US.

We all know the answer to that one. Unlike the Republican grand economic theory, the evil starts at the top and successfully trickles down.

I think we are in total agreement. There is a lot to do, one of them is to vote and get all of your friends to vote.

In 2026 the only options you have are to vote for trump sycophants or to vote to stop trump. We need a majority in the house and senate to do that. Currently we have neither so we are effectively reduced to barking unless enough republicans vote for discharge petitions and cross party lines.

There is more to do and hopefully we can do it non violently. However, had more people come out to vote in 2024 instead of thinking their vote did not matter, or both candidates were bad, or not being able to vote for a woman, or… then we could have avoided this mess.

In order to have “regrets” you need to admit to making a mistake. Trump believes he never makes a mistake because he thinks that shows weakness. What it really shows is a person who can never learn from experience.

He was found guilty of sexual abuse and not rape because in NY it is only rape if it is penetration with genitalia. It was a civil trial so there was never any chance of jail time (statute of limitations). The penalty (fine) was for defamation.

We do pay the tariffs but other countries still have the negative impact of decreased trade due to increase in prices pass along by the importers. Tariffs are a barrier to trade (which can sometimes be a good thing) overall and should be used judiciously and thoughtfully debated by Congress.

I feel and understand your resentment and pain towards the US, we use to be good neighbors. All of us here in the states must acknowledge that the majority elected this awful administration and for that I ask for your forgiveness. We will try to do better in November. VOTE BLUE to stop trump.

You are correct but unfortunately it will not happen because too many will vote party over country. That is why we can vote to gain the majority in house and senate and stop the worse from trump. Then for 2028 we can present our vision for the future.
