A lot of people are passionate about non profitable jobs. Only a few people make it as musicians or pro athletes too. If you want to publish work on your own you absolutely can now and maybe it will be read by somebody. But there is no inherent reason a given field deserves profits.

It’s an obscenely long movie so I could see falling asleep and dreaming an alternative plot. For 3+ hour movies the only thing I recall after a week is how much my legs hurt from sitting for too long.

You kind of have to read for context. Tunnels vision goes the opposite direction too “after 30 hour it gets really good” type stuff. Or any negative review with more than two play throughs of a game worth of time recorded.

That is a low-trust vs high-trust society difference. If you wanted to fix it you’d need to have a more coherent baseline understanding of reality between all of the citizens (or use coercion). I’m not sure if you can get there in a large country with limited government powers.

I’m not really sure when you would point to the parties both being interested in governance. None within the last 30 years. The young democrats I know are all marxists who want to abolish private ownership. Isn’t it typical for younger politically motivated people to be extremists?

A lot of EV owners really care about the environment (Teslas were expensive). Making an EV is a significant environmental burden and toasing over the optics would indicate one only purchased it as a signaling mechanism. Since that’s awful environmentally.

I don’t understand how MS apps and games on windows are so terrible to manage. MS is a large company with many competent engineers; you can tell what they don’t care about.

Why? Uninstalling the game doesn’t retroactively pull money out of their pockets….. Like I get not buying more expansions. It’s like the buying a Tesla before you knew Musks politics.

In the United States women are well ahead of men in universities. 60% in a population as broad as all college students is significant. As a whole women in the US have like a 10% higher degree advantage in the zoomer age bracket. Men have had their education rates tank lately.

For a fighting game I’m not sure it’s actually dead. Like I can see a game with 1k players in matchmaking as being totally workable.

I’m not sure really. Like SNK got a large budget boost from being owned by the literal Saudi Prince’s investment fund. Depends on if there are fans of mass effect in the new ownership structure.

Nice, I had a similar situation two years ago and the two siblings we kept still play together. Kind of wish I could have kept all 4 but that’s kind of a lot.
