Ok, so I had a look at the playtest documents for the new VtM edition (of course I did, I can't help myself) and tbh, I'm not impressed. All the usual caveats about it not being a finished product, but for now - meh.

Seeing new VtM edition news coming out of GenCon I find myself in a position of being interested and yet doubting I'll play it beyond trying it out for general interest. Not because I dislike it (some of the snippets I saw I like, some less so, all is tbd) but because I already have VtM I like.

I've just realised that I once again failed in my attempt to be more active on here more and been more or less absent for weeks. Oops. I'm just bad at social media. How do you...post more regularly?

Thinking back to ttrpg play culture when I was growing up, I remembered that in one campaign a PC died while their player wasn't even at the session. Wild stuff but at the time it seemed not great but unavoidable because it was "realistic." I'm glad I moved way away from accepting stuff like that.
