There is no pressure on neither Poland nor Sweden within the current framework (not officially anyway). For rather obvious reasons that doesn’t apply to the UK…or any other applicant. Yes, the UK is a special case…but not in any positive way. …as I said the UK doesn’t qualify one way or the other

If the UK doesn’t want to join the Euro on their first day back in the EU. Then they should never be allowed anywhere near the EU. They chose this. After all the EU functions far better without the UK. They can howl at the moon. No one should care.

nor for the Euro. That is a UK problem only. We fed their sense of entitlement once before. They kicked that into our faces…constantly trying to diminish the EU. Never again. They made their bed…whether they sleep in it or not…no one cares outside of the UK.

The UK can remain on the outside. It is preferable at this junction. In fact the EU works better without them. No country should enter the EU without joining the Euro…this is more true for the UK in the any other country. Luckily the UK doesn’t qualify for membership of the EU (generally)

For new members there is. Sweden joined the EU before the euro even existed. We don’t need the UK. In fact they frequently blackmailed the EU for special concessions…Sweden didn’t do that. They also didn’t have neither a rival currency nor a huge financial market in the CoL.

The most important thing is that the EU doesn’t compromise. All new countries have to join the full package…if they don’t want to…then they don’t want to join the EU. The EU doesn’t need more members…it needs better members. That might even mean less members. The EU needs be

The UK needs to be taught a lesson. Granted it should have happened years ago…seeing how they have acted. Remove them from any EU programs and put the TCA on pause. They don’t deserve any of it. The UK learning curve has been a flatline. We need far harder measures …or maybe we should simply…

It needs to be dealt with…forcefully and with the outmost urgency. A UK that doesn’t accept the WA needs to be shunned. No access to any EU programs and let us cancel or put the TCA in the freezer. The UK might think that it holds any cards…it doesn’t. Apparently we need to show them.

…we need better members. The UK doesn’t qualify for membership under this nor under the actual requirements. Not even close. They are likely to need a generation on the outside…though that might not be enough. Though that is a UK problem not an EU one as the EU does better without the UK.

If anyone needs to be forced it is the UK. The only country to ever undermine/blackmail the EU while using their currency and their large financial institutions in the CoL. Not that any other country should be allowed anywhere near the he EU without using the Euro. We don’t need more members…

We need better members…that doesn’t necessarily mean more members. It might even mean fewer members.

Everyone will have to join…eventually. It shows support for a European future.

The UK has become the very fringe of Europe an untrustworthy and unreliable former partner. That should have consequences.

Also the CoL should not be allowed any part of EU FSs and we should go after its money laundering and tax haven schemes too. The UK would cease to be a first world country. No more mister nice guy. The UK doesn’t deserve that treatment…it never did.
