My intro to his work was The Land Before Time way back when I was a toddler, and ever since then his movies contributed to me wanting to be an artist from a very young age and have always remained a massive influence in my own art for decades! This was such an awesome day!

Fun Fact! The blue-nosed yellow critter at the beginning is one of my concept designs for Squim! There will be more small cameos of his early designs throughout the comic as I figured bringing them back as characters in it would be a fun callback to the Squims that never were! :D

Smiling Friends was something special in many ways. It not only made a big impact in pop culture- it brought fans together as a community, helped ppl through hard times, creatively inspired others too! From casual watchers to super fans, everyone found something to love about it!

Once again, I know Ive said this a bunch, but Ill never ever forget what this meant to me! :D Thank you Zach, Michael, Aron, The SF Crew...for entrusting me with the task of designing Squim! For the opportunity to be a part of something so positively cool!

I have huge gratitude for that experience, it was a longtime dream to do character design for a show or even movies someday! I'm honored that Smiling Friends was my first job in TV animation! With that said, Squim is a character that will have a special place in my life forever🥹

October 2024, I got an email that had my eyes go WIDE! An email asking if I wanted to design a character for a Season 3 episode, specifically, a crazy critter called SQUIM! Working on him was so much fun, I loved every moment of it & I was excited for you all to finally meet him!
