Niche game dev take: players be mad when studios reuse assets from previous games like “they’re taking shortcuts!!” But brother the NAME OF THE GAME in making video games IS shortcuts. Literally everything is “how can I get away with this effect/idea with as little work as possible”

I’m not surprised that Sony is stopping physical discs seemed like the next logical step in the industry given how much easier and cheaper digital distribution is, but I do think physical disks is like the ONE leg up the consoles had against PC gaming so idk seems like a dumb idea

My biggest pet peeve is that there's a ton of scam websites that are "Free QR Code Generator"s then the QR code stops working after a few days and then redirects you to ask you to PAY to re-activate it.
