From the Mental Jukebox today: "Nightcall" by Kavinsky. I rewatched "Drive" on Sunday and even praised this song in my Letterboxd review then listened to it all week. Today I learned Kavinsky died at 50. After its 2024 Olympics performance, it became the most Shazamed song in a single day ever. RIP

#MovieReview: #MotorCity. Guy gets drugs planted in his car by a dirty cop and said guy must get his revenge. Not a really a unique plot, BUT there is only 5 lines of dialogue in the ENTIRE MOVIE. Why? I dunno!! It does make every action & expression meaningful and I loved this about it. Fun flick!

Now off to see "Motor City"! 🚘 This weekend I'm basically seeing the only movies in the theater that I haven't seen yet. This one looks moderately interesting and the reviews are fairly good. Hoping for something better than "Her Private Hell" which is honestly a pretty low bar. #Filmsky #MotorCity

#MovieReview: #HerPrivateHell. Well... that sucked. After sitting through 110 minutes, you're like, "What was that even about??" It's visually cool and I loved the score, but the story is too hard to follow. The Leatherman might be the most uninteresting serial killer in all of cinema. #Filmsky

Concert Review - Gene Simmons in Bensalem, PA: A fun show for anyone still craving a KISS fix. Highlights were songs KISS never did live like "Charisma" but unfortunately they botched "I".
