And the neighbor girl who was 4 years younger than me started coming over to read beside me, and her mother forever credited me with turning her daughter into a reader.

This movie is one of my all-time favorite feel-good films.

Saddened to hear of Sam Neill's untimely passing. I loved him in every movie I ever saw him in, but I especially loved him in "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople." He made me laugh and cry in this one and I've watched it three times so far. Rest in peace, Sam.

Sobbing as my neighbor is having a beautiful healthy American linden tree (aka basswood, Tilia Americana) removed this morning.
