I don't think she would have been prosecuted for perjury, but she might have been sued by the guy she was falsely charging with a crime, & the DoJ(okes) could not have protected her from that.
they will probably still vote to confirm trump's nominees, because they are cowards (as if a written guarantee from trump is worth the paper it's written on)
