I'm excited by long walks, cycling up mountains, MTBing down them, LEGO, thoughtful writing, and playing with geospatial data. http://kevindeyoungster.com 📍 Vancouver, BC

a little late to the season but hey. today: burnaby mountain 🚴🏿‍♂️

I've walked all of it, but they just moved here. nice watching their Gogomi fill in!

OMG, so sorry for your loss. Never got to meet Mike in person, but I enjoyed our exchanges and his presence on the internet. He was a real one

😆 reminds me of meeting bin packing problems during Gogomi's first outage

better appreciation for the pros, they make it look so easy!

(for comment readers) append-only markdown, cool: joodaloop.com/riffs/microb...

An ontology of microbloggingI’ve added a new top-level page to this site. It’s called ~~~ and can be found at joodaloop.com/~ or in the nav bar. The name is a big quirky, I admit, but format is simple:joodaloop.com

cool! what's your flow for posting to the ~~~ section?

I assume this works for runs too, right? Wanted to recommend to a friend

it is! wormery* = map of all walks recorded on gogomi.app *name comes from the 'worm' theme: bsky.app/profile/kevi...

🤣 close! When I first plotted my gpx traces, "Gogomi" popped in my head (it's Ga* for 'worm'). That it also sounds like 'go-go-me' (movement) is a bilingual pun *Ghanaian coastal language

if you're using the app, would love to hear from you. heard from ~15% so far (all positive). Gogomi's pseudonymous by design so I don't know who's who (😅)

thank you!

some drafts were really just "did x, here's 4 photos" and the old layout wasn't the right container for it. guess I needed to change the shape of the problem. funny how it happened by accident en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afforda...
