"Temet nosce" This is the only warning: I'm into a variety of games and writing. I post weird stuff here as an amateur, mature stuff elsewhere. BattleTech, tabletop roleplaying, Pokémon, and similar hobbies are fair game to be represented/discussed here.

That's because it was. Followed by hasty retreating. This is known as "engagement bait".

I think it's Clan Wolf.

(Evalia: "This has not worked for me. I have had to resort to using 'psspsspss'.")

010

Oh that's a fun cut. If not a deep one.

000

There's a part of me which... isn't keen on wishing bad things on fellow humans who haven't really earned it by doing foul things to others. There's a much larger part of me going: "How else do you learn the fire is hot, if you don't touch it at least once?"

I pulled those wolves out, and set them up like a shoulder angel and devil pair. ... only one is just hungry, bored, and wants to chew through furniture and the other REALLY wants the squirrel outside the bedroom window and is gauging if it's safe to go through the glass.

I know a lot of things about the wiring in this house, and it would make a licensed electrician make the sign of the cross on seeing it.

Which is to say, the ideas were okay but there seemed to be a *fatigue* around the project which just seemed to sap the energy out of it. And it just sorta ENDED. (Not SG-1, that one got an "and the adventures will continue" kind of ending. Good for the show. X-Files tried to wrap it up and, no.)

It was also kind of fun to watch him get told "oh yeah, some of this stuff in the reports is real" and he just looks like he wants to take a shot of something strong before he gets back to work. But, well, it was sort of like Stargate SG-1's last couple seasons.

Is now really a good time to remind people the X-Files existed at all, what with a sprawling government conspiracy parked inside FEMA? I mean... really.

000

Which reminds me... (*scrawls on a posterboard and tacks it up*) DO NOT HAND FEED WILD ANIMALS.

Robert Patrick (as John Doggett) never really got a chance to take over the show because it wasn't long before they dragged the Original Duo right back into the plotline. (Which was a shame because I enjoyed the change-up.)

I can! Package delivery.

I can unfortunately say... no, I do not remember it. I do remember (vaguely) there were Democrats who were not happy he got the nomination and were HOPING he'd lose. ... and my dim memories suggest these are the same people who pined for when he was in office after Trump took it in 2016.

Sorry, I used the wrong word, but the behavior is still seen by the un-knowing as "hunting" when it's more protective.

I mean, having been looking through things? I would not trust my house's power system with it, no. The microwave does not like behaving with the kitchen outlets, for instance. And an electrician costs... a lot.

Pumas would much rather... not hunt humans, except for if there are cubs anywhere nearby. THEN all bets are off. (Note: This is not unique to pumas. If you see baby animals, momma is around somewhere nearby.)

Also, be very careful who you owe money to. The one holding the debt might not be who... or what... you think they are. (If you like fiction, "Warrior: En Garde" does go into this for one of the varied plot threads. Otherwise, there's Shrapnel Issue 17 which is pretty much Solaris-themed stories.)

010

I look forward to hearing the nice things you have to say about the Sea Foxes. :)

"Rabbits in waistcoats" is a fun concept. Except when they're hares. It's also fun then but she'd never forgive me for taking that photo.
