Steph Blain used our long-term tracking data to test if hybrids survive at lower rates because of their intermediate behavior. She found strong support for this hypothesis and thus the role migration plays as an extrinsic postzygotic barrier in #speciation. https://doi.org/10.1111/ele.14420 (2/3)

Delighted to see these two papers come out. They build on my earlier PhD work where we (1) showed that #hybrid songbirds take intermediate routes to pure forms on #migration and (2) mapped migratory orientation to a region on chromosome 4. (1/3)
