We are the only house at the end of a little dirt road off of a 4-lane highway. We have found packages in a snowbank, stuffed under hedges lining the road, and leaning on our mailbox (located on the pike). UPS comes down to our house and the guy offers to bring it into our enclosed porch for us.

I agree with Jay. I converted an avowed eggplant avoider with my parmigiana. And eggplants these days tend to be much less bitter than the old varieties. I cook it so many ways!

Always comes the next day, sometimes even 2 days after they say they're delivering. (SNJ). For us, they are the worst of the three. UPS is best and USPS is a close second. And we often have to hunt for the package when it does come!

That was my inkling, too. They're gonna cave, like always.

We have an acre but about a third of it is wooded. We started with a 20x40 garden in 1986, but now that spot has gotten too shady so we moved to raised beds in sunnier spots. It's always a work in progress, which for me is part of the joy of it.

Our county has instructed us to do the bag way. Seems like it would be a lot heavier to use the litter.

My issue isn't the cleaning (though it is a chore), it's the used oil. We have no recycling of domestic used fry oil here and I hate to have to double-bag it to put it in the trash.

We're in SNJ too. I remember it with crystal clarity. The business I worked for at the time had Pfizer as one of the companies we had regular contacts with. They lost colleagues there. So did the Audubon Society, of which I was a multi-decade member and local chapter president for a time.
