Do we like these trivia breakdowns? Does it help or does it just seem like I'm flapping my gums? Either way, I had fun and I hope y'all dig it. More soon.

I'll do more of a breakdown of Cole whenever he takes more of the spotlight, but what more is there to say? He's a mohawked tough guy who is on equal footing with an eldritch horror. He's either extremely tough or cocksure and reckless. (We all know that it's both.)

Vivi's cape is a recent addition to her design (I literally saw one on Pinterest and thought it was cute) and I love how it can play double-duty in making her seem more demure while the straps also suggest restraint. Rather than thinks tearing, I wanted her manifestations to ooze instead.

Nora being a cheerleader was something that came about relatively late in her development, but her taking that first step while being clad in the uniform I think provides enough shorthand to say who she is as a person. A little airheaded at times, but physically capable and bold.

I've had the damndest time trying to land a fog effect I really like (again, paying homage to noir films and Silent Hill) but I think just playing with texture did better than my trying to draw each individual wisp. Maybe I'll get there eventually, but for now, I'm happy with it.

I love old noir films and looked up how they did the digital bleach-bypassing in the early seasons of Supernatural, which I'm still dialing in. I'd love to do more with hard silhouettes, but I'm still a little scared of making things too muddy as opposed to hitting that sharp contrast I love.

I've been trying study cinematography more and be more mindful about the stuff I put in these things including repeating the goopy motif on the fingers/tendrils in Vivi's manifestations there. Again, I want this to be more or less a promo, and I think that extra little nod says a lot to what she is.

And we're done! Doing something more in depth after an overall simpler piece was a big learning opportunity. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. #OCsky #webcomic

I was thinking Monstress, too, but I think that came out a little too recently for what he's looking for. (But Monstress is freakin' awesome.)

WIP: Inked (mostly) and flatted. Since I want this to be more of a promo piece, I let myself get a little wild with the dreaded Floof and I think that experience cemented my intention to keep it simple in normal panels, because oh my good lord. #OCsky #webcomic #rkgk

WIP of something new! It's been a long time since I genuinely had a blast drawing and it's something I've been rekindling over the past few months. I wanted to make a promo that shows what readers could expect from the setting and cast -- I'm pretty happy with it so far! #OCsky #webcomic #rkgk

Tada! A while back, I found @volodez_art's work on IG and have wanted to do some fanart ever since. Their OC, Chloe, is just so darn cool, and I can easily imagine the twins finding the now-iconic RV to get her insight into whatever is troubling Belle Harbor this time. #OCsky #webcomic #fanart

That's a tough one. I know with anime, I'm more a fan of the 26-episode series because that gives me an expectation on pacing and a definite conclusion to a contained experience, but part of the magic of a web serial is watching it develop in real time.

More, usually, despite my attempts to rein it in. This ends up making the coloring take extra time, too, just cleaning up the little flyaways. It looks good, generally, but it may not have as much of a return on investment as I might hope.

I very highly recommend checking their work out if you're into interactive fiction, horror, and mysteries (which I assume you are, being here and all)!

Honestly, when I draw the floof, I have a harder time keeping it consistent than I do otherwise. So it's no specific panel, it's more of an overall thing!
